About Sue
To feel good in mind and body I believe that both these parts need to be nurtured. Whilst we can take exercise and eat healthily to look after our body, sometimes we neglect our mind and emotions. Therefore, what I hope to provide is time and space for you to explore what is going on for you, both mentally and emotionally. Being able to clarify difficulties and release some of your troubles can help you to feel more at peace.
I believe we all have the ability to develop to our best potential given the right environment. However, sometimes the situation we are in impedes our development and this is where counselling can help. I feel honoured that people trust me to listen to them and, due to my own experiences of being judged, I am very careful to listen in an accepting, non-judgemental manner.
Several of my jobs have involved working with children, which I am passionate about as I feel that so many of the difficulties faced by adults stem from their experiences as a child. If children can be helped to resolve issues or come to terms with traumatic experiences they are more able to develop freely.
